The fact that my piece in the show is inspired by “Adventure Time,” “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” and “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” perhaps?
The fact that you’ll see work by eight bay area writers while you sip the brew of your choice, and that everyone hangs out after the show together like it’s a friendly party or something?
The fact that (in addition to Charles), director Tracy Held Potter cast my play with super-cool actors Caitlin Evenson and Jessica Rudholm, who are like the definition of “Totally Worth Watching?”

Q: What’s the hardest thing about writing a short play?
A: Remembering that it’s a short play, not a small play. It doesn’t have to be about small ideas or small themes, and it doesn’t have to be simple or cute. You can give the audience a real experience, a complex experience; you can make those ten minutes important.
